ベトナム、ハノイ出身のメタルコアバンドWindrunnerの2018年のアルバム「Mai」の歌詞を全訳してみました。

Windrunnerはメタルコアバンドで珍しく女性ボーカルです。

メンバーは各自、他に職業を持っているそうで、英語教師だったり、デザイナーだったり、接客業をやっていたりしているそうです。ベトナムの音楽市場がまだそれほど大きくはないそうで、バンドの運営はほとんど本人たちが直接やっているそうです。（→参照）

今回のアルバム「MAI」のMAIの意味は、ベトナム語で春に咲く美しい花だそうです。また「明日」という意味もあるそうで、生きて、未来を見つめ、良い人間になることが大切だと伝えたいという思いがあるそうです。また、メタルコア音楽ですが、アジア的な要素も取り入れたアルバムを目指したということです。（→参照）
